m2m doctrinal statement

Mission and Purpose

M2M Network exists to reach Muslims with the true message of salvation — the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Mark 1:1; Jude 1:3).

We are committed to proclaiming the Gospel through evangelism, discipleship, apologetics, and polemics faithfully defending the truth of God’s Word (1 Peter 3:15) and exposing every argument and ideology that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5).

We are not ecumenical. We welcome and partner only with born-again believers (John 3:3) who affirm the essential doctrines of the Christian faith, such as the absolute authority and sufficiency of Scripture, justification through faith alone in Christ alone, and the impossibility of a born again person ever losing salvation.

I. The Word of God

We believe that Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura) is the sole, infallible rule of faith for the Church. The Holy Scriptures — consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments — —are God-breathed, without error in the original manuscripts, and the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice. As such, the Scriptures are sufficient to reveal the way of salvation and for instruction in godly living.(John 8:31–32; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21, Psalm 19:7–9, Jeremiah 15:16).
I. The Word of God
  • John 8:31–32: “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
  • 2 Timothy 3:16–17: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God (are God-breathed), and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
  • 2 Peter 1:20–21: “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
  • Psalm 19:7–9: “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether
  • Jeremiah 15:16: Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

II. The Triune God
A. The Trinity

We believe that there is one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19).

Each person of the Godhead is coequal, coeternal, and coexistent, sharing the same divine nature and glory. The three persons function in perfect unity in the works of creation, providence, and redemption (John 1:1–3; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4–6).

We believe it is blasphemous to equate the Triune God of the Bible with the false gods of religions like Islam, Hinduism, etc... (Exodus 20:3, 1 Corinthians 8:4-6).

We believe in the biblical account of creation exactly as revealed in Scripture. Humanity did not evolve from other animals, nor did life arise from a primordial soup. The theory of evolution is a man-made myth devised to deny God’s creative authority and to ease the conscience of unbelievers (Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26–27, Exodus 20:11). The claim that man descended from lower forms of life directly contradicts the Christian faith, and no true follower of Christ should accept such a destructive and false idea (Romans 1:22–23).

We believe that God created only two genders — male and female — both made in His image and distinct by divine design (Genesis 5:2). Furthermore, marriage is ordained by God as a sacred union between one man and one woman (Genesis 5:24). Any deviation from this design is an abomination in the sight of God (Leviticus 18:22) and a rebellion against His created order (Romans 1:26–27).
II. The Triune God
A. The Trinity
  • Deuteronomy 6:4: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.”
  • Matthew 28:19: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
  • John 1:1–3: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
  • 2 Corinthians 13:14: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”
  • Ephesians 4:4–6: “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."
  • Exodus 20:3: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
  • 1 Corinthians 8:4-6: "4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him."
  • Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
  • Genesis 1:26–27: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
  • Exodus 20:11: “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day.”
  • Romans 1:22–23: “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.”
  • Genesis 5:2: “Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” (Also, Matthew 19:4).
  • Genesis 2:24: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." (Also, Matthew 19:5–6).
  • Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
  • Romans 1:26–27: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections... and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly...”

B. God the Father

We believe that God the Father is eternal, infinite, sovereign, and perfect in holiness, wisdom, and love (Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 6:3). He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things (Genesis 1:1; 1 Corinthians 8:6).

He is personal and intimately involved in the affairs of His creation, hearing the prayers of His people and accomplishing His perfect will (Matthew 6:9; Ephesians 1:11).

The Father justifies and adopts all who, through faith in Jesus Christ, are redeemed from sin and made His children (John 1:12–13; Romans 8:15–17; Ephesians 1:4–5).

B. God the Father
  • Psalm 90:2: Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
  • Isaiah 6:3: And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
  • Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
  • 1 Corinthians 8:6: But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
  • Matthew 6:9: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
  • Ephesians 1:11: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.
  • John 1:12–13: 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
  • Romans 8:15–17: 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
  • Ephesians 1:4–5: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

C. God the Son – Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the second Person of the Trinity (John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:6–11). He is both fully God and fully man, possessing two complete and distinct natures united in one person (Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:3).

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:26–35), lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), and performed miracles as evidence of His divine authority (John 20:30–31).

Through His vicarious and substitutionary death on the cross, He made full atonement for the sins of the world (Romans 5:8–11; 1 Peter 2:24).

He rose bodily from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9–11), and now intercedes for believers at the right hand of the Father (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25).

We affirm that Jesus Christ alone is the mediator between God and humanity (1 Tim. 2:5). While we honor Mary and the saints, we do not view them as mediators, nor do we believe Mary was sinless, as she herself confessed her need for a Savior (Luke 1:47). Jesus alone brings us to the Father (John 14:6).

We believe in His personal and visible, return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Titus 2:13). At His return, He will judge the world in righteousness and establish His eternal kingdom (Matthew 25:31–46).

C. God the Son – Jesus Christ
  • John 1:1, 14: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
  • Philippians 2:6–11: “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
  • Colossians 2:9: “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
  • Hebrews 1:3: “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.”
  • Luke 1:26–35: “And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth… And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS… And the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee…”
  • Hebrews 4:15: “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
  • John 20:30–31: “And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
  • Romans 5:8–11: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us… we shall be saved by his life.”
  • 1 Peter 2:24: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4: “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
  • Acts 1:9–11: “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight… This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
  • Romans 8:34: “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
  • Hebrews 7:25: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
  • Acts 1:11: “Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
  • Titus 2:13: “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
  • Matthew 25:31–46: “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory… And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

D. God the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity — coequal, coeternal, and coexistent with the Father and the Son (Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3–4).

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8–11); regenerates and indwells all true believers (Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 6:19); and sanctifies and empowers them for service (Galatians 5:22–25; Acts 1:8).

He is the believer’s Comforter, Teacher, and Advocate (John 14:16–17, 26), and it is only through His presence that Christians can live godly lives and bear spiritual fruit.
D. God the Holy Spirit
  • Matthew 28:19: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
  • Acts 5:3–4: “But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost… Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.”
  • John 16:8–11: “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me… Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”
  • Titus 3:5: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”
  • 1 Corinthians 6:19: “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
  • Galatians 5:22–25: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance… If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
  • Acts 1:8: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
  • John 14:16–17: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth…”
  • John 14:26: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things…”

III. Humanity and Sin

We believe that humankind was originally created by God in His image and likeness, holy and without sin (Genesis 1:26–31) .

However, through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world, and all humanity inherited a sinful nature and the penalty of death (Genesis 3:1–19; Romans 5:12, 18–19).

Because of sin, all people are separated from God and in need of salvation through the redemptive work of Christ (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1–3).
III. Humanity and Sin
  • Genesis 1:26–31: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… So God created man in his own image… And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.”
  • Genesis 3:1–19: The account of the fall of man, where Adam and Eve disobey God.
  • Romans 5:12, 18–19: “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world… by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.”
  • Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
  • Ephesians 2:1–3: “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins… we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh…”

IV. Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9; Acts 20:21).
Through Christ's substitutionary death and bodily resurrection 2000 years ago, once for all Christ accomplished redemption for all who believe (Romans 5:8–10; Hebrews 10:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
An affirmation that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again (as in the Roman Catholic mass) and that death no longer has dominion over him (Romans 6:9) .

Those who trust in Him are justified by faith alone (Romans 5:1), regenerated by the Holy Spirit (John 3:5–8), and adopted as children of God (Romans 8:14–17).
We affirm the eternal security of all true believers — those genuinely born again by the Spirit cannot lose their salvation (John 10:28–29; Philippians 1:6).

We further affirm the five foundational truths of the Gospel:
  • By Christ alone (Solus Christus) — Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, who alone is the mediator between God and man. (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Timothy 2:5; Colossians 1:13–20)
  • Through grace alone (Sola Gratia) — Salvation is entirely the result of God’s unmerited favor, not based on human works or merit. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 3:24; Titus 3:5–7)
  • By faith alone (Sola Fide) — Justification is by faith apart from works of the law; faith is the means by which we receive the righteousness of Christ. (Romans 3:28; Romans 5:1; Galatians 2:16; Philippians 3:9)
  • According to Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura) — The Holy Scriptures are the sole, infallible authority for faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; John 17:17; Psalm 19:7–9; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
  • To the glory of God alone (Soli Deo Gloria) — Salvation, creation, and all of life exist for the glory of God alone. (Romans 11:36; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14; Revelation 4:11)
IV. Salvation
  • Ephesians 2:8–9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
  • Acts 20:21: “Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
  • Romans 5:8–10: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us… we shall be saved by his life.”
  • Hebrews 10:14: "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4: “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
  • Romans 6:9; "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him."
  • Romans 5:1: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
  • John 3:5–8: “Jesus answered… Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
  • Romans 8:14–17: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God… heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ.”
  • John 10:28–29: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish… no man is able to pluck them out of my hand.”
  • Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

V. The Church We believe that the Church is composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ, who together form the Body of Christ, with Christ Himself as the Head (Ephesians 1:22–23; Colossians 1:18).
The purpose of the Church is to glorify God through worship, the edification of believers, and the evangelization of the world (Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8).
We believe in the unity of all true believers in the essentials of the faith, liberty in non-essential matters, and love in all things (Romans 14:1–5; 1 Corinthians 13:2–3).
V. The Church
  • Ephesians 1:22–23: “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church… which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”
  • Colossians 1:18: “And he is the head of the body, the church…”
  • Matthew 28:19–20: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them… teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”
  • Acts 1:8: “Ye shall receive power… and ye shall be witnesses unto me…”
  • Romans 14:1–5: “Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations… every man shall be holden of his own master.”
  • 1 Corinthians 13:2–3: “Though I have the gift of prophecy… and have not charity, I am nothing.”
